Police are investigating the death of a 38-year-old man who was found dead inside his house in Muchatha area, Kiambaa Sub-county, Kiambu County.
The deceased, identified as Samuel Njoroge, was discovered lying lifeless on a mattress inside his two-bedroom house on Friday.
According to police, Njoroge was last seen at about 9:00 pm on Thursday when his mother saw him heading back to his house.
Concern arose on Friday at around 4:30 pm after she realized she had not seen him throughout the day. She went to check on him and found him unresponsive inside the house.
Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) officers from Kiambu documented and processed the scene.
Police said the body had no visible external injuries.
The body was moved to Kihara Level 4 Hospital Mortuary, where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Such deaths have been on the rise amid efforts to solve them.
