Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has sparked fresh online reactions after issuing a strongly worded warning to a man he claims he previously assisted financially and with food.
In a Facebook post, Mosiria appeared to express frustration at what he described as a case of helping someone in need only to receive insults in return.
“Watu wengine ni kama wanahitaji kupeleka rehab ya jela. Huyu ni mtu alikuja kwangu nikampatia unga ya ugali, na pesa ya rent na ya kujisaidia. Wewe ndio unanitusi tena? Asante ya punda ni mateke,” Mosiria wrote.
The outspoken county official then appeared to escalate the exchange, telling the individual that he should be prepared to face the consequences of his actions.
“Mimi sio kama President ulimtusi na akanyamaza. Vile umesema unakuja, kuja Monday kama umejipanga ubebe cash bail ya kutosha mfukoni pamoja na nguo za joto. Usisahau kubeba Arimis juu kimbo haiko kwa soko na ujue pale Industrial Area sio kuzuri!” he added.
The remarks quickly drew attention because of their unusually direct tone, with Mosiria appearing to suggest that the individual could spend time in custody if arrested.
Mosiria’s Facebook message
Mosiria, who is known for his outspoken social-media presence and confrontational approach to issues affecting Nairobi residents, shared the remarks on his Facebook account.

The post is consistent with Mosiria’s reputation for using social media to address public issues and confront situations he considers unacceptable.
He has previously used his online platforms to comment on crime, city order, environmental matters and the rehabilitation of offenders.

Mosiria’s latest post paints a dramatically different picture, with the county official claiming that he had personally helped the unnamed individual with basic necessities, including food and rent.
His reference to “unga ya ugali” and rent suggests that the assistance was aimed at helping the person meet basic day-to-day needs.
However, according to Mosiria’s account, the relationship deteriorated after the person allegedly turned around and insulted him.
The phrase “asante ya punda ni mateke” loosely meaning that some people respond to kindness with kicks captured Mosiria’s apparent disappointment.
His warning that the individual should arrive on Monday carrying sufficient cash for bail and warm clothes was particularly striking, although the post itself does not establish that the person had been arrested or formally charged with any offence.
Mosiria’s controversial public persona
Mosiria has built a significant public profile through his highly visible approach to county affairs and his frequent social-media posts.
His activities have previously attracted both praise and criticism, particularly during his time dealing with environmental enforcement and nightlife-related complaints.
Local media described him as a highly visible figure who frequently documented confrontations and enforcement activities online.
He was later moved to the Citizen Engagement and Customer Service docket, where he continued to maintain a strong presence on social media.
His online interventions have also touched on issues affecting ordinary Nairobi residents.
In March 2026, for example, he argued that poverty should not be used to justify illegal structures while simultaneously calling for better ways of supporting small traders.
The latest post therefore adds another chapter to Mosiria’s increasingly public-facing style, this time involving an alleged personal dispute and a warning that has generated considerable curiosity online.
For now, it remains unclear who the unnamed individual is, what allegedly prompted the confrontation, or whether any arrest or court proceedings will actually follow the warning.
