A 45-year-old man was found dead along a road near Kalambiya Shopping Centre in Kalama Sub-County, Machakos County, on Sunday morning.
The body of Paul Kyeu Kiilu, a resident of Ikaawani village, was discovered on September 27, 2026.
Police officers from Vota Police Station, accompanied by detectives from DCI Kalama, visited the scene and established the identity of the deceased.
According to preliminary investigations, Kiilu had reportedly been seen on Saturday walking along a path from the shopping centre and appeared to be drunk.
Police said the body had no visible physical injuries, apart from small bruises on one of the toes.
The body was moved to Machakos Funeral Home, where it is being preserved pending an autopsy to establish the cause of death.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing.
And a 55-year-old man was found dead in the Tuff Form area of Sabaki, Athi River, Machakos County, on Sunday morning.
The body of Benard Wamalwa Chebwebwe was discovered on September 27, 2026.
Police said they found no visible physical injuries or marks.
The scene was processed and documented before the body was moved to Shalom Hospital Mortuary, where it is being preserved pending an autopsy to establish the cause of death.
Police have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
Meanwhile, a 42-year-old man was found dead with extensive head injuries along a road linking Majiwa village and Ndori area in Bondo, Siaya County.
The body of George Odhiambo Wanjira, a resident of Majiwa village, was discovered on Sunday, September 27, 2026, along a marram road in Ralingo village, Barchando Sub-Location.
The incident was reported prompting police officers to visit the scene.
Preliminary investigations established that Wanjira had allegedly been attacked and hacked to death by unknown assailants at an undetermined time.
His wife told police that her husband had not returned home the previous night.
Officers at the scene recovered a blood-stained rock, which investigators believe may have been used in the attack. Two caps, one blue and another jungle grey, were also recovered and preserved as exhibits.
The scene was processed by investigators before the body, which had extensive cut wounds to the head, was moved to Bondo Sub-County Hospital Mortuary pending a post-mortem examination.
Police have launched investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing and identify those responsible.
