Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Akothee has flown off the hinges, launching a fierce online attack against legendary fashion designer Fundi Frank over what she says is his constant harassment of her daughters on social media.
In a no-holds-barred tirade, Akothee accused the veteran designer of repeatedly criticising her and her children, insisting that the attacks stem from an old, unresolved beef between them.
The mother of five said she had kept quiet for years, but Fundi Frank’s continued jabs, especially those directed at her daughters, pushed her to finally speak out.

In a long Facebook post sighted on Akothee’s official page on Monday, February 23, the outspoken singer revisited a bitter fallout dating back more than a decade.
She alleged that in 2014 she paid Fundi Frank to design performance outfits for a specific event, trusting his reputation in the fashion industry at the time.
According to Akothee, that trust was betrayed.
She claimed that despite receiving payment, the designer failed to deliver the agreed outfits.
Instead, she says, he only provided a Kenyan flag and never followed through with the clothes she had already paid for, an incident she describes as a scam that left her deeply disappointed and resentful.
Ventilating her anger, Akothee shared a scathing caption in which she accused the designer of disrespect, irresponsibility, and long-standing bitterness.
She wrote:
“This drunkard, Fundi Leuni, a man in his late 50s who still hovers around clubs like a teenager with zero investment, has the audacity to insult me, my children, and my family. Fundi Lau, remember to refund my money. I paid you to make two performance outfits for me back in 2014. Maybe iluwo banga ka guik, you thought I was one of those female loose artists you could make drunk and carry home!”
The singer went even further, publicly “undressing” Fundi Frank online and calling him an alcoholic, a con man, and a poor 50-year-old man who, in her view, has nothing to show for his years in the industry.
Akothee accused him of living off handouts, chasing clout, and repeatedly dragging her name and that of her daughters across different platforms.
In another explosive caption, she doubled down on her claims and alleged that the designer had previously apologised after she warned him, only to resume the attacks later.
She wrote:
“You only delivered the Kenya flag and never delivered the second one. On top of that, I have seen you insult me on different platforms. You own nothing in your name , not even a home in the village ,so what exactly do you know about my family? The last time I warned you, you apologized jatwengoni. Yet here you are again. You are the biggest freeloader in Nairobi. A jobless wannabe. What do you actually own in your name, ochot majakongoni? You even run away from clubs without paying bills. FREELOADER.”

The online clash has reignited debate around long-running grudges in Kenya’s entertainment and fashion circles, where old disputes often resurface in the age of social media.
Akothee, known for her unapologetic and outspoken personality, has in the past said she will fiercely defend her children from public attacks, regardless of who is involved.
As of now, Fundi Frank has not publicly responded to the fresh accusations.
However, the dramatic fallout has once again put a spotlight on unresolved feuds, professional accountability, and the increasingly personal nature of celebrity conflicts playing out online.
