Andrew Kibe Blatantly Refuses To Apologize For Calling Stivo Simple Boy “Ugly”

Online personality Andrew Kibe has firmly maintained that he will not apologize to musician Stivo Simple Boy following the public uproar sparked by his controversial remarks about the rapper’s appearance.

Kibe, who has been at the center of heated online debate in recent days, made it clear during a phone interview with Milele FM presenter Ankali that he has no intention of issuing a public apology to Stivo despite mounting pressure from Kenyans and fellow entertainers.

Speaking during the interview, Kibe insisted he stands by everything he said and does not regret his comments.

“So what do you want? So I should apologize to Stivo? Why? What I said is just common sense. Everyone has right to their opinion. I never regret anything that I say concerning anybody. If I don’t regret why should I apologize,” Kibe said.

His latest remarks come days after he sparked widespread outrage by making disparaging comments about Stivo Simple Boy’s physical appearance during an interview on Dr. Ofweneke’s Lessons @ 30 podcast.

Besides calling the musician “ugly,” Kibe also controversially claimed that Stivo “should not be allowed to have children,” remarks that many Kenyans described as cruel and unnecessary.

The backlash was so intense that the podcast episode was later pulled down and edited.

Host Dr. Ofweneke subsequently issued a public apology to Stivo Simple Boy and his family, accepting full responsibility for allowing the offensive comments to be aired.

Stivo Simple Boy later responded to the criticism with composure, urging Kibe to keep any personal issues directed at him rather than involving his innocent child.

The “Freshi Barida” hitmaker stressed that every child is a blessing from God and reminded critics that he has built his life through hard work, humility and respect.

His measured response won praise from many Kenyans, who lauded him for refusing to engage in insults despite the provocation.

Kibe’s comments also attracted condemnation from several public figures and content creators.

Comedian Mulamwa was among those who defended Stivo, praising the rapper for his resilience and authenticity despite the ridicule he has faced throughout his career.

Content creator Tileh Pacbro also weighed in, criticizing Kibe for attacking a hardworking artist instead of encouraging him.

Many social media users echoed similar sentiments, arguing that personal attacks based on appearance have no place in public discourse.

Despite the growing criticism and calls for him to retract his statements, Kibe has remained defiant, insisting that everyone is entitled to their opinion and reiterating that he has no regrets over his remarks.

His refusal to apologize has continued to fuel debate online, with supporters defending his right to free expression while critics argue that public figures should be held accountable for comments that demean others and target innocent family members.
