Kenyan actress Dorea Chege has accepted Jesus as the Lord and Saviour of her life, Nairobi News has learned.
On Saturday, December 3, Chege posted a video of herself being prayed for as she turned a new leaf and joined the better side of life: salvation.
In a post seen by this writer, the actress disclosed that she received salvation on her birthday.
The star disclosed that she started a new life on December 11, 2025.
According to Dorea Chege, she has found a new purpose, peace, and joy and is now ready to serve the Lord fully.
“I’m celebrating another year of life 🎂, and I’m thinking about how much God has done for me. When I gave my life to Jesus on Dec 11, 2025, I found a new purpose, peace, and joy that’s contagious 😊. It’s been a journey with challenges and victories, but God’s been with me every step. Now, I’m praying He uses me to touch lives, spread hope, and show love 💖. Huge thanks to @dominicthuku & @purity_thuku for leading me to Christ. May the good Lord bless you,” she captioned a video of herself being prayed for by the Thukus.
News of her salvation was well received by her fans and other social media users, who lauded her for the step.
Nairobi News understands Dorea got saved just weeks after making national headlines with reports of beating up her husband, DJ Dibul.
As reported earlier by a cross-section of the Kenyan media, Chege and Dibul trended for the better part of November 2025 following claims of domestic violence in their marriage.
News of their alleged domestic violence was first brought to light by a random fan who took to social media and wrote:
“Dibul na yeye hutandikwa proper, I have known them for a while. Kuna siku alichunwa masikio kwa balcony before aanze kuchapwa.”
The allegations attracted the attention of netizens, who called on both Dibul and Chege to address the issue.
In a quick rejoinder, Dibul snubbed the claims in a comical way.
The Deejay assured his fans that he was okay and that they should not worry about the fake news.

“Siku hizi unaingia online unapata unatrend na hujui. Weh! Unewahi jipata ukitrend na uko clueless? Anyway padre ako sawa,” he stated.
This was followed by a post from Dorea Chege, who also joked about the matter by claiming she was shopping for a Taekwondo trainer.
The lass blatantly shut down the claims, terming them lies that would never bring her down.
She also asked if Dibul’s hands were tied while being beaten.
“Anapigwa kwani amefungwa mikono? Lies can’t blur my shine. I am too bright,” she wrote.
