Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez also fled to Russia following the arrest of President Nicolás Maduro, his wife and son.
Reports indicate that the Venezuela’s VP has gone into hiding, fearing sharing the same fate with her former boss.
It is important to note that Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro was captured alongside his wife by US forces during a high-stakes military operation the morning of Saturday , December 3.

The trio were nabbed while leaving Venezuela in a constitutional crisis.
On the evening of Saturday, December 3, the first photo of the Venezuelan dictator was posted online by U.S. President Donald Trump and subsequently went viral globally.
In the photo, Maduro is seen blindfolded, handcuffed, holding a plastic bottle of water while rocking a Nike sweat suit and standing aboard the U.S. Navy’s Iwo Jima.
Maduro was on his way to New York, where he is expected to be prosecuted on narco-terrorism charges.
Not captured on photo was Maduro’s wife Cilia Flores who was also arrested and will be charged on narco-terrorism charges.
Maduro’s son Nicholas Ernesto Maduro Guerra, also known as The Prince, was arrested and will be charged alongside his parents for the illegal trafficking of thousands of tons of cocaine.
Court documents revealed that Maduro Guerra will also be charged with conspiracy to import cocaine and conspiracy to possess machine guns.

The younger Maduro was appointed by his father to a bespoke position of “Head of the Corps of Special Inspectors of the Presidency” shortly after he assumed power in 2013 and allegedly worked as an organiser of illegal drug trafficking activities.
News of their arrest sparked mixed reactions across the world with countless people lauding the United States for the successful operation.
Nicolás Madur is a Venezuelan politician and former union leader who has served as the president of Venezuela since 2013.
He previously served as the 24th vice president under President Hugo Chávez from 2012 to 2013 and was also the minister of foreign affairs from 2006 to 2012.
