Shalkiddo, member of a one time popular Gengetone group, Sailors Gang, has heaved a sigh of relief after comedian Eric Omondi came to his rescue following an earlier appeal for financial support.
Nairobi News had earlier reported that Shalkiddo publicly requested Kenyans to come to his rescue after going broke and failing to take care of his young family.
In his appeal posted on his official Instagram page, he requested Kenyans to share his plea so that it could attract Eric Omondi’s attention.

Gengetone ‘s Shalkiddo Asked Kenyans To Help Him
According to Shalkiddo, he could not longer take care of his wife and child hence his decision to come out and seek help.
He requested Eric Omondi to assist him get a motorbike so that he can work as a rider and provide for his family.
“I am really humbled to ask my beautiful and great fellow Kenyans to help me share this post so that it can reach Eric Omondi. Sir, I am sincerely humbled to ask for your support. Even if I could get just a motorbike to start hustling again and support my family, I would be deeply grateful,” Shalkido wrote.
Well, his plea got Eric’s attention and he duly saw it for to come through for a brother.
Nairobi News has learnt the comedian, on Monday, September 1, 2025, met with Shalkiddo and handed him a brand new motorbike as earlier requested by the latter.
Omondi disclosed he had even filled the motorbike with full tank of petrol.
The comic confirmed that the logbook for the bike bears Shalkiddo’s name, holding that the whole thing was made possible by contribution from Kenyans through his Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative.
Omondi revealed that the money used on Shalkiddo’s motorbike had initially been raised for another project in Kitengela but was redirected to helping the artist.
The former Churchill Show comedian added that he also left Shalkiddo with a nice package (money) to help him rebuild his life.

“We used the contributions from Sisi kwa Sisi to buy Shalkido a brand-new motorbike. It is registered under his official name, with the logbook and insurance already processed. The tank is full, and we even did some shopping for him and his family,” Eric said.
The good deed moved Shalkiddo who could not help but express his gratitude to Eric and Kenyans who made it possible.
Shalkiddo noted that he is so thankful to God for answering his prayers and promised to acknowledge the same by dropping a song dedicated to those who came through for him in his time of need.
“I am very grateful to Eric and to every Kenyan who contributed to making this happen. Above all, I thank God because this is truly an answered prayer. I was at my breaking point. Now that I have been given this chance, I will even release a song to thank everyone who stood by me,” he said.
As usual, netizens were generous with their compliments as they heaped praises on Eric Omondi for always doing the most to help fellow Kenyans.
