Mbaruk Mwalimu drags Bahati for failing to honour Sh 1 million pledge to Harambee Stars: “Sema tukuchangie”


Radio 47’s presenter Mbaruk Mwalimu has come out to deal with singer Bahati days after he attacked the station’s staff while trying to justify his reasons for failing to honour Sh 1 million pledge to Harambee Stars’ players.

Mbaruk, mercilessly slandered Bahati in a comic and sarcastic addressed through a video posted on his social media pages on the morning of Monday, September 1, 2025.

Just but to refresh your memory, Bahati had earlier attacked Radio 47’s sports presenter Fred Arocho in a video shared through his social media pages.

In the video, Bahati shifted blames on Federation of Kenya Football (FKF) Vice President McDonald Mariga, stating that the former athlete has been frustrating his efforts to handover the Sh 1 million present.

Midway the video, Bahati called Arocho and after a few seconds of clashing, he hanged up and talked Ill about latter.

Bahati claimed he has the ability to buy Radio 47 and TV47 and appoint his wife Diana Marua to manage the likes of Arocho and other presenters.

This, did not settle well with Mbaruk Mwalimu who hit back at Bahati in the most savage ways.

Through his video, Mbaruk asked Bahati to stop making noise and dragging other people’s names in mud after finding it difficult to honour his pledge to Harambee Stars’ players.

The Radio 47 drive show host also urged Bahati to come out and ask for contributions if he can’t raise the Sh 1 million he had earlier promised the Harambee Stars’ players.

Mbaruk Mwalimu Offers To Help Bahati Raise The Sh 1 Million

“Wadau, you know I agree with Bahati that tusitembee na watu wenye wanafikiria Sh 1 million ni pesa nyingi sana. That is correct but ikifikia mahali tunapigana sababu umeshindwa ku honour your pledge hapo hatutaelewana. Sh 1 million inakufanya unakaa one month, unaongea vile unataka. Unadharau watangazaji wa Radio 47 na TV47. Just because umeshindwa kulipa deni la watu. Sawa ya deni ni kulipa,” He wrote.

Mbaruk insisted he can easily help fundraise for Bahati should he ask for assistance.

The presenter, while addressing Bahati picked a man purse and chucked out a bundle of $100 notes and disclosed the money was over Sh 1 million yet he is not making noise online like Bahati.

“Hio Sh 1 million ulisema ni pocket change, Wacha ikae kwa mfuko. This is more than Sh 1 million na imetulia kwa mfuko,” he added.

His fans were tickled by the video and duly thronged the comments section of his post to echo his sentiments.
