Former Churchill Show Comedian Owago Makes It Big In The US

Churchill Show, a brand by Daniel Ndambuki has without a doubt changed the lives of many creatives and comedian Owago Onyiro is not an exception.

During the dark days of the COVID-19 pandemic, when live events came to a sudden halt, Owago, like many Kenyan entertainers, faced severe financial challenges.

With performances canceled, he had to pivot quickly to sustain himself.

Leveraging social media, he began selling cooked fish through his Instagram page, an unconventional move that helped cover rent and basic needs during tough times.

Seeking new prospects, Owago boldly decided to relocate to the United States settling in Seattle, Washington.

The relocation marked a turning point in his career and life in general.

Transitioning from comedy to a corporate role, the comedian found employment as an executive assistant at Seattle Home Aide Trainers, a healthcare vocational school run by fellow Kenyan Eva Akoth.
