Gachagua’s Wife Pastor Dorcas Responds To Claims She Dominates Him

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s wife, Pastor Dorcas has vehemently shut down claims that she dominates her husband.

Dorcas’ quick rejoinder comes barely days after Kikuyu MP and National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah accuses her of the aforementioned.

Speaking while addressing Kenyan clergy during a tour in the United States on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Pastor Dorcas dismissed claims that her many presence and speeches during public appearances were signs of control over her spouse.

According to Gachagua’s wife, the accusations were not only disrespectful but also misleading.

She reiterated that the claims are against their marriage and the value they both promote.

“That is why sometimes when he allows me to speak first, it is not because I ‘sit on him’. How can you sit on a man like this, who is causing the whole nation not to sleep?” she said.

Dorcas insisted that they are always working as a team with shared values.

She noted that they always appear together in public events to promote nothing else but family values.

“We are one unit. There’s nothing wrong with that. We move together and stand for the same ideals – prayer, family, and service,” Dorcas added.

Pastor Dorcas also used the opportunity to slam critics for intentionally misrepresenting their marriage and relationship for clout.

“I keep hearing them say Wamunyoro. Is that the kind of man you think your claims could apply to? You are such liars,” she stated.

Her quick response comes barely days after Kimani Ichung’wah publicly suggested that Gachagua was under the influence of his wife.

The MP’s sentiments attracted mixed reaction from many people with women leaders allied to the former Deputy President condemning him for his careless remarks.
