Haiti Gang Implements New Strategies Of Outmaneuver Kenyan Police.

The Kenyan Police‘s efforts to combat the notorious Gran Griff gang in Haiti are intensifying as the gang, led by the infamous Elan Luckson, has developed a new tactic to evade law enforcement.

The gang has been drilling holes in the walls of abandoned houses to gain a shooting advantage, according to a statement from the Multinational Security Support (MSS) team posted on social media.

The MSS credited their recent successes against the gang to the collaboration between local residents, the MSS, and the Haitian National Police (HNP).

This joint effort has pressured the gang, forcing them to retreat.

In particular, local communities have been proactive in clearing bushes along main roads in Pont-Sonde, where the gang has been hiding to ambush pedestrians and hijack trucks for ransom.

The MSS noted that such criminal activities have significantly declined since the arrival of MSS and HNP forces in the region.

Recently, an unprecedented sight emerged in Pont-Sonde, where determined locals collaborated with MSS and HNP teams to clear overgrown areas along key roads.

This initiative follows consistent day and night patrols by MSS and HNP, which have targeted key gang leaders and their followers in the Carrefour Paye-Artibonite Department.

These joint patrols have focused on National Road 1, connecting Pont-Sonde to Gonaive, and the route from Carrefour Paye to Savien.
The clearing efforts have allowed residents to move freely and enjoy a newfound sense of safety.

The MSS has expressed deep gratitude to the local communities for their commitment to combating gang violence. They assured Haitians that security operations would continue until the gang leaders are apprehended.

MSS also acknowledged the support from local and international stakeholders, which has resulted in increased resources and equipment for their operations.

As more countries prepare to contribute, MSS emphasized the importance of patience and cooperation in ensuring the mission’s success, reaffirming its commitment to restoring peace in Haiti.
