Iyanii warms hearts as he donates sound system to Kamiti Prison inmates in uplifting CSR visit

Sensational singer Iyanii has once again proven that one does not need to be a multi-millionaire to make a meaningful impact.

The hitmaker went out of his way to touch lives after conducting a CSR visit at Kamiti Medium Prison, where he donated a full sound system and other goodies to help inmates sharpen their talents as they look forward to reintegrating into society.

Nairobi News has learnt that on Saturday, November 22, Iyanii, accompanied by his team, spent the day at the correctional facility where they interacted with inmates, sharing laughter, joy and positive vibes.

During the visit, the musician not only delivered an electrifying performance but also invited talented inmates to the stage, giving them a rare opportunity to showcase their artistic gifts.

Iyanii later posted photos and videos from the event, accompanied by a heartfelt caption thanking his fans for their unwavering support.

He noted that his ability to give back stems from the proceeds of ticket and music sales, which are made possible by his loyal fan base.

“Spent the day today at Kamiti Medium Prison for a special CSR visit, where we donated a sound system ie mixer, speakers, microphones and more to support talents behind bars. To my fans … every coin you spend when buying my tickets/music is what made this possible. Your support goes far beyond the music. ❤️✨ To everyone inside Kamiti: your story isn’t over. There is hope, there is purpose, and there is a future waiting for you. Keep pushing, keep believing. ❤️ A big thank you to my band @gravitti for the incredible support , my team and friends @rashidbre @kenty.__ @eshiwanidickson Liana @dj_kryptic_ttg @deejaydeewiz Robbert and to everyone who came through to stand with me. I don’t take it for granted. 🙏🏾 Iyanii,” he posted.

Iyanii’s heartwarming gesture has been widely praised on social media, with fans and netizens urging other celebrities to follow his example.

It should be noted that his act of kindness comes shortly after he finally caught the attention of several event promoters, something he had long been fighting for.

As earlier reported by Nairobi News, Iyanii previously opened a can of worms after calling out promoters for consistently snubbing him for both local and international shows.

In a past Insta-stories rant, he questioned why promoters often sidelined him despite being one of Kenya’s top vocalists with numerous hit songs.

He insisted that bookings should be based on talent, hits and real popularity rather than bias, adding that he would not be discouraged by those trying to dim his shine.

His concerns were eventually heard, and the star has since been booked for major events, including the prestigious Blankets and Wine festival.

Thanks to earnings from such gigs, Iyanii has been able to uplift others, with the Kamiti Medium Prison CSR visit standing as a shining example of his growing commitment to giving back.
