Jalang’o reveals reason behind ‘split’ with BFF Alex Mwakideu; “Aliwacha pombe,”


There was a time when radio presenter Alex Mwakideu and MP Jalang’o were inseparable.

Then, the two used to be co-host at Radio Maisha and later joined Milele FM, where their friendship and chemistry kept growing by the day.

The two were so close that they would always hangout together, do a lot of things together.

Jalang’o and Mwakideu were very close that they stopped being friends and became family, even building their family homes next to each other.

However, their friendship somewhat faded when Jalang’o joined politics and Mwakideu remained in radio.

Today, they no longer hangout as much they used to do, albeit not because they called off their friendship but because of some of their life choices.

Jalang’o has finally revealed the reason behind the lukewarm nature of their brotherhood.

Speaking during a candid interview with Chris Da Bass on his podcast, the legislator disclosed that he stopped hanging out with Mwakideu when he chose sobriety.

According to Jalas, Mwakideu became a boring friend after quiting alcohol, something that contributed to the rift between them.

He noted that while sobriety is a good thing but Alex should not have stopped drinking alcohol completely.

He even used some scriptures from the Bible in which people are advised to make merry and enjoy once in a while.

“I had one good friend. That person used to be Mwakideu. But ever since he stopped taking alcohol and started taking tea, he started being boring. You know even the Bible says sometimes it is good to drink a bit and have some little fun,” Jalang’o said.

His revelation cracked many netizens who passed it as a big joke.

However, a section of netizens including online noisemaker Sabato Sabato who said people should stay far from friends like Jalang’o.

Sabato insisted that friends who encourages others to be drunkards do not wish them well.
