Kenyans on social media are known worldwide as the king of online wars.
The entire Africa bows down to Kenya with no country wishing to enter into a ‘tweef’ with Kenyans on Twitter.
This was brought to life recently when ‘tweeps’ took on Tanzania, buying almost all the tickets for the game between their national team, Taifa Stars and Morocco.

Well, no sooner had Tanzanians heaved a sigh of relief than Kenya’s online battalion pounced on them once again after Taifa Stars was bundled out of the 2024 CHAN.
The whole scuffle started when Tanzanians rallied behind Madagascar and rooted for their win against Harambee Stars.
Well, the match was played on Friday, August 22, 2025, and Madagascar beat Harambee Stars through penalties following a 1-1 draw.
Tanzanians were super excited and launched attacks on Kenyans via different social media platforms.
Kenyans took it easy as they waited for Taifa Stars match against Morocco which was played just minutes after the Harambee Stars and Madagascar’s match.
In it’s usual fashion, Taifa Stars were beaten one goal against nothing, a turn of events that switched on Kenya’s firing button.
Taking to Twitter, Kenyans had a field day with Tanzanians, trolling them mercilessly following their loss to Morocco.
The banter was so heated that the trend #Jirani took the number one spot on the trending list for the better part of Friday evening.
