Kalekye Mumo Turns Heads With Stunning New Look After 28kg Weight-Loss Transformation

Kenyan media personality Kalekye Mumo has left fans admiring her latest transformation after unveiling a stylish new look following her remarkable weight-loss journey.

The former radio presenter shared a series of photos showing herself dressed in office pants, a silk top, heels and a pixie wig, giving her followers a glimpse of a noticeably different side of her.

Mumo admitted that even she was surprised by how she looked in the photos.

“Because honestly… I have never looked like this before,” she captioned the post, adding that she looked in the mirror and told herself, “Girl… you look GOOD!!”

For Mumo, however, the transformation is about much more than losing weight.

The veteran media personality explained that her changing body has also changed the way she sees herself, allowing her to experiment with clothes and fashion in ways she previously might not have considered.

“There are clothes you wear. And then there are clothes that make you see yourself differently,” she said.

She added that she is now enjoying what she sees when she looks in the mirror and described herself as feeling lighter, stronger and more confident.

“I felt beautiful. I felt confident. I felt sexy,” Mumo said, explaining that the experience had encouraged her to “PLAY with fashion again.”

From 102kg to 73.9kg

The latest fashion reveal comes after Mumo publicly documented a major weight-loss milestone.

In September 2026, she revealed that she had reduced her weight from 102kg to 73.9kg,

representing a loss of 28.1kg. She shared before-and-after photos wearing the same outfit to demonstrate just how significantly her body had changed.

“102kg → 73.9kg. That’s 28.1kg down. And yes… I am VERY proud of myself,” she said at the time.

Mumo also made it clear that her transformation was not simply the result of dieting or personal determination.

She said she had professional support throughout the process, including an endocrinologist or weight-loss specialist, nutritionist and fitness instructor.

In her latest post, she similarly revealed that the journey has been medically supervised through a team at Evolve Well Metabolic Clinic, led by Dr Caroline Mithi, with doctors, nutritionists and sports scientists helping her understand her body and make healthier choices.

‘It’s not just about the weight’

Mumo has repeatedly stressed that her journey should not be reduced to the number on the weighing scale.

In an earlier reflection, she said the most important changes had been feeling better, moving better and becoming more comfortable with herself.

She has also spoken about becoming more confident in her clothes and taking photos without feeling the need to hide her body.

“I can now wear brighter clothes top to bottom confidently, no black to minimise myself,” she said in September.

She also revealed that she had reached a point where she could put on outfits she previously would have rejected and simply enjoy how she looked.

The media personality acknowledged that her journey was still ongoing, saying she did not suddenly consider herself perfect but had become much more comfortable being seen.

A journey focused on strength and health

Mumo has also explained that her motivation goes beyond achieving a smaller body.

She said she wanted to become stronger, more agile and healthier, particularly as she entered a new stage of life.

“This journey was never just about getting into a smaller dress,” she said, explaining that she wanted to move freely and be able to dance for Jesus without feeling restricted by her body.

She has further expressed her desire to age healthily, noting that while getting older is inevitable, becoming weaker does not necessarily have to be.

Her comments have added an important dimension to the dramatic visual transformation, showing that her focus is increasingly on wellness, mobility, confidence and quality of life rather than appearance alone.

Kalekye’s new chapter

Mumo’s transformation comes at an interesting point in her life and career.

The celebrated media personality turned 50 in March 2026 and described the milestone as the beginning of a new chapter, sharing her excitement about what the next stage of her life would bring.

She has built a long career in Kenyan media, including a decade at Kiss FM, where she became one of the country’s recognisable radio personalities.

She later ventured into television, music, events and business, while also establishing herself as a confidence life coach.

Her official biography describes her journey as one centred on authenticity, confidence and helping others embrace who they are.

Her latest photos therefore appear to represent more than a physical makeover.

They capture a woman who says she is increasingly comfortable experimenting with her appearance and celebrating the person she is becoming.

And judging from her playful reaction to the photos, Mumo is clearly enjoying the process.

“So if my body could talk while looking at these pictures, I think she’d probably say, ‘Well. NOW you’re showing me off!’” she joked.

Her latest look has consequently become another chapter in a weight-loss journey that she continues to frame around health, strength, confidence and learning to see herself differently.
