Controversial man of God Victor Kanyari has awakened a sleeping giant after going back to posting screenshots of his conversations with late ex-wife Betty Bayo.
Kanyari, on the night of Saturday, December 20, attracted unwanted attention with the post, which showed his chats with Betty about their children, Sky and Danny.
In the conversation, Betty Bayo had asked Kanyari to go and pick up their kids and spend time with them, as they had missed him.
“When you free come for the kids wamekumiss,” Betty said.
“Today?” Kanyari asked, to which Betty said at his opportune time.

The post came about a week or so after Kanyari was forced by public figures, netizens, and a section of his fans to keep off social media for a while.
While the man of God heeded the call, he made a comeback as soon as he went on hiatus, a move that did not settle well with many.
As earlier reported by Nairobi News, Victor stirred controversy after releasing a batch of WhatsApp conversations between himself and his late ex-wife, gospel musician Betty Bayo.
The convo leaks came shortly after Bayo’s passing on November 10.
The singer succumbed to leukaemia and was buried on November 20, at her Mugumo Estate home, a ceremony attended by politicians, celebrities, fans, and loved ones.
Following Betty’s sudden demise, public attention shifted to the future of the couple’s two children, with many wondering who between Kanyari and Betty’s husband, Tash, should take full custody of the children.
The pastor later addressed the escalating tension involving him, the late Betty Bayo’s family, and her partner, Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash.
In a video shared on his social media pages, Kanyari said he had initially chosen to remain silent but felt compelled to speak after hearing Betty’s mother express her pain.
He urged Tash to respect the wishes of the grieving mother, emphasising that she deserved compassion and understanding.
“I have been staying quiet and observing things for myself. I am very touched by what that woman is going through; it has touched me. I would like to ask Tash to listen to her wishes so that you may not get a curse from the one who passed away or from her as a mother,” he said.
Kanyari further urged Tash to step back and allow Betty’s mother and family to mourn peacefully.
“Just listen to her. People might underestimate her, but I will never forget that Betty was her only child who supported her. Even I, as Kanyari, will listen to her, even when it concerns my kids. Tash, let’s just respect her; she is almost 70+ years old,” he added.
He also suggested that Betty and Tash’s relationship had been strained long before her death, claiming they had separated months earlier.

Kanyari reiterated that he was not interested in Betty’s assets and was instead focused on ensuring the well-being of everyone involved.
His statement came hot on the heels of Betty Bayo’s mother’s interview while in the U.S., where she opened a can of worms.
She released chilling details about Betty’s relationship with Tash, alleging that he had never officially married her daughter.
Late Betty’s mum also urged Pastor Kanyari to take custody of his two children with Betty, insisting they were not being raised in an ideal environment.
Additionally, she hinted that upon returning to Kenya from the United States, she would like Betty’s body exhumed for an autopsy to determine her exact cause of death.
