Controversial pastor Prophet Victor Kanyari has earned admiration online after revealing plans to secure a luxurious home for his two children with the late gospel musician Betty Bayo.
Kanyari recently disclosed that he intends to purchase a high-end mansion in Runda worth Sh90 million for the young ones.
Speaking during a recent sermon at his church, the preacher said he has already begun house hunting and identified a specific property that features a swimming pool.
According to Kanyari, some of the people accompanying him during the search advised him to opt for a cheaper house, but he stood firm on his choice.
He emphasised that the Sh90 million mansion, complete with a private pool, is what he wants for his children’s comfort and security.
“Jana nimekuwa Runda kutafuta nyumba ya kununua. Nikapata moja wanauza Sh90 million. I liked it and even told people I was with that I will buy it. It even has a swimming pool. They told me I should get another one we had seen going for Sh40 million but I refused. I told them that I will go back and buy the Sh90 million house. I want my kids to get from the house and get to the swimming pool and swim peacefully,” he said.
His remarks sparked praise across social media, with many lauding him for prioritising his children’s well-being.
The revelation comes just a week after the passing of the mother of Kanyari’s children, gospel artist Betty Bayo.
Her death had initially raised uncertainty about her burial arrangements, with rumours suggesting she could be laid to rest either at Pastor Kanyari’s home or at the residence of her current husband, Tash.
