Kasarani Member of Parliament and SportsPesa CEO Ronald Karauri has publicly dismissed circulating online allegations against him, terming them fabricated and politically motivated.
In a strongly worded statement, Karauri challenged blogger Edgar Obare to release any alleged incriminating video by 5pm, pledging to pay him Sh10 million if such material exists.
“I usually don’t address nonsense, but on this one I must speak,” Karauri said. “This fake story is totally fabricated and you know it.”
The legislator maintained that the claims being circulated online are baseless and suggested that the reports could be part of a broader political agenda.

He denied being under pressure over any alleged footage and instead turned the tables on his accuser.
“What’s going around is that there are videos I’m scared of being released. I am giving you up to 5pm today. Share the video. I have KSh10 million for you,” Karauri said.
He added that should no such video be produced, he would redirect the funds to community initiatives.
According to the MP, Sh8 million would be channelled to his foundation to support children’s programmes, while Sh2 million would benefit Kasarani residents, including sponsorship for a planned boxing event.
“Since I know that video does not exist, when you are unable to produce it, KSh8 million will go to my foundation and KSh2 million will support my people,” he stated.
Karauri insisted that he would not be intimidated by what he described as extortion attempts, daring the blogger to substantiate the claims publicly.
The blogger had not responded publicly to the challenge by the time of publication.
