In a gripping session at an Eldoret court, a 23-year-old officer from the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) testified against his father, Francis Mwangi Ndirangu, who faces murder charges for the death of his mother, Rael Cherop Biwott.
During his poignant testimony, Sammy Ndirangu detailed the abusive behavior his father exhibited towards Biwott, a 44-year-old accountant at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, whom he accused of being unfaithful.
Biwiott was last seen leaving work on June 22, 2024, with her husband, but discrepancies in their accounts arose as Ndirangu claimed they took public transport home.
However, CCTV footage revealed that the couple was seen leaving in a rented Toyota Succeed.
The following day, Biwott was reported missing, and her dismembered body parts were later found in various locations across Nandi and Uasin Gishu counties over a span of several days, with some remains discovered on June 24.

One grim find included her body parts stowed in a gunny bag near Kapsilegaa village, while other portions, including her head and limbs, were located in Lamaiywet village.
Notably, Ndirangu did not notify authorities about his wife’s disappearance until the evening of June 24.
An autopsy conducted at MTRH, witnessed by family and legal representatives, indicated that Biwott suffered extensive neck injuries and blunt force trauma to the head.
Currently, Francis Mwangi Ndirangu is being held without bail at the Eldoret GK remand prison due to security concerns.
As the trial progresses under Judge Emily Ominde, the prosecution is preparing to present a total of 21 witnesses, including the couple’s children, to support the charges against him.
