According to court documents, a U.S.-based Kenyan woman identified as M.R.W. filed a case at the Milimani High Court, accusing the musician of raping her during his music tour in the United States.

In a sworn affidavit submitted on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, the complainant claimed that Samidoh lured her to a short-stay residence in Overland Park, Kansas, where he allegedly forced himself on her despite her repeated resistance.

“On or about November 28, 2021, while Samuel Muchoki Ndirangu, alias Samidoh, was in the United States for a music performance, he lured me into his Airbnb in Overland Park, Kansas, and raped me. I repeatedly refused and resisted, but he mocked my protestations, ignored my pleas, and, without my consent, egregiously committed the sexual offence,” part of the affidavit read.

The woman further alleged that between 2021 and 2023, Samidoh manipulated and threatened her, worsening her distress.

Following the incident, she reported the matter to the Overland Park Police Department in Kansas, where it was filed under Case No. 2023022021 and classified as rape. She also lodged a formal complaint with Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on June 12, 2025. However, she claims no action was taken, with the DCI allegedly failing to register, investigate, or advance her case.

Through her petition, M.R.W. is seeking court orders compelling the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), the third respondent in the case, to review the investigation file and issue a reasoned decision within 30 days, in accordance with Article 157(11) of the Constitution, while also notifying her in writing.

Additionally, she has requested the court to uphold her anonymity and privacy by permitting the continued use of her initials, sealing any documents revealing her identity, redacting personal information in public records, and conducting in-camera hearings where necessary to safeguard her dignity and security.
