Mlami Mwitu finally gets Kenyan citizenship after decade in the country


When content creator Elliot Berry alias Mlami Mwitu first came to Kenya, he did not know this would become his second home.

The entertainer came to Kenya on a missionary mission but fell in love with the country and stuck around for a minute.

While in Kenya, Eldoret to be specific, Mlami Mwitu has been doing the most in philanthropy and mentorship, not to mention entertainment.

Well, after many years in the country the entertainer, originally from the United Kingdom thought it wise to look for Kenyan citizenship.

Mlami Mwitu recently got his hands on a Kenyan passport after he was approved for citizenship.

The Eldoret-based content creator recently disclosed that he is now a proud Kenyan.

Elliot revealed that he had chased for citizenship for a long time having been in the country for over a decade.

These, the content creator said during an interview with Mwafreeka on his show, Iko Nini.

“I have never shared this anywhere. I think this will be an exclusive. Am proud to announce that am now a Kenyan citizen. I finally got my passport and ID after a long struggle,” he said.

According to Elliot, getting Kenyan citizenship was in on his bucket list and could not be more happier after finally being approved.

He noted that he loves Kenyans because of its people and the vibes it vibrates.

Mlami said he always get bored whenever he flies back to the UK as he is now used to Kenya and the way of life here.

“Kenyans are just a super breed. I love everything about Kenya. I always get bored when I go back home. I feel like something is missing,” he added.

Mlami Mwitu has been making a name for himself as a commercial model, philanthropist, events host and content creator.

He has been running a number of mentorship programs targeting boy child both in Eldoret and Nairobi.

He has also been doing exemplary well on TikTok and other social media platforms where he shares his funny comical skits and clips.
