About a week ago, YouTuber Oga Obinna disclosed how viral rapper Toxic Lyrically turned down his invitation for an interview on his show.
Obinna addressed the issue casually during one of his shows and left it at that.
However, a section of Kenyans on social media picked issue with Toxic and launched a scathing attack against the star, with many calling him out for being too proud.

Many people who condemned the rapper reminded him that pride comes before a fall.
Netizens had a field day with Toxic with even a sizeable amount of people threatening to cancel him.
Well, days after the incident, Oga Obinna has come out to defend the young rapper holding that he does not hold any grudge against Toxic.
Speaking in a video posted on his Instagram on Thursday, August 14, 2025, Obinna said Toxic was right to say no to his invite.
According to the YouTuber, the rapper had every right to choose what to do and what not to.
He reiterated that only Lyrically knows his career and the direction he wants to take.
Obinna urged netizens to stop trolling the rapper for snubbing him for an interview.

“For Toxic this is what I would say, Ako tu sawa men. When I talked about the interview part, there are some people who are trying to change what I said. That is not what I said. Mumejaribu kuichange Nini Nini but iwabambe,” Obinna said.
His sentiments came barely a week after reports that Toxic has turned down his invitation for an interview emerged.
Obinna himself revealed the reason why Toxic said to to his invite.
The media personality disclosed Toxic did not honour the invite stating that he would love to appear on shows that align with his music career, goals and objectives.
