Madowo’s growing popularity among young Kenyans comes as no surprise.

The award-winning journalist has consistently used his platform to expose corruption and social injustice in the country.

He became a national hero during the June 2025 Gen Z protests, when he helped rescue dozens of youths trapped by police officers during a crackdown.

More recently, Madowo drew widespread praise after confronting Kibra MP Peter Orero, who was caught driving on the wrong side of the road.

Although Madowo’s attempt to stop the vehicle was unsuccessful, and he was even insulted in the process, his viral video forced authorities to take action against Orero’s driver.

Despite the growing pressure from fans, Madowo remains adamant that journalism, not politics, is his calling.
