Police in Kayole, Nairobi, arrested a suspect following the death of a 30-year-old man whose body was found outside a house under circumstances investigators are treating as suspected murder.
According to police, the deceased, identified as Rodgers Okuto, was discovered lying unresponsive outside a house in the CMM Powerline area of Twiga.
The woman who reported the incident told police she arrived at her residence at about 7 a.m. and found the man lying outside. She subsequently reported the matter to officers at Twiga Patrol Base, who accompanied her back to the scene.
Police officers responded and examined the scene. Preliminary investigations established that the deceased is believed to have died inside the reporter’s house before his body was allegedly dragged outside to the location where it was found.
The scene was processed and documented by CSI officers, and the body was moved to Mama Lucy Hospital Mortuary pending a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
A suspect has been placed in police custody as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Detectives are working to establish the events leading to the man’s death and any possible motive.
And police in Nairobi’s Starehe Sub-County arrested a 28-year-old foreign national suspected of involvement in a violent assault incident and recovered a toy pistol and two knives during an intelligence-led operation.
According to police, the arresting team acted on credible intelligence on June 7, 2026, and raided a room on the sixth floor of Urban Towers in the Pangani area. During the operation, they arrested an Ethiopian national.
A search conducted inside the room led to the recovery of two knives. The suspect later guided officers to the building’s second floor, where he allegedly opened a meter box from which a toy pistol was recovered.
Police said the suspect is linked to a serious assault case reported at Airbase Police Post last month, in which a young man was allegedly stabbed and sustained serious injuries.
