A suspected drug trafficker has been arrested in Nairobi following a police operation targeting an apartment allegedly used for storing and distributing illegal drugs.
Officers from South B Police Station conducted the operation in the Sana Sana area after receiving intelligence reports indicating that a specific residence was being used as a hub for narcotics trade.
During the raid, police arrested one suspect of foreign nationality who was found inside the apartment at the time of the operation.
A thorough search of the premises led to the recovery of a substance believed to be cannabis sativa, comprising 316 rolls and 105 sachets, each weighing approximately 1.5 grams.
Police also discovered several sachets containing a white powdery substance suspected to be a narcotic drug.

The substance has been forwarded for forensic analysis to determine its exact composition.
Additionally, officers recovered 34 sachets of rolling papers and foreign currency in various denominations, which authorities believe may be proceeds from the suspected illegal trade.
The suspect has been taken into custody, while all seized items have been secured as exhibits to support ongoing investigations and potential legal proceedings.
The National Police Service reiterated its commitment to intensifying efforts against narcotics trafficking and other forms of criminal activity.
