Three Arrested in Narok as Police Seize Cannabis Worth Sh3.3 Million

Three suspected drug traffickers have been arrested in Narok after anti-narcotics detectives recovered more than 118 kilograms of cannabis sativa estimated to be worth KSh3.3 million.

The arrests were made by officers from the National Anti-Narcotics Investigations Bureau (NANIB) based at Narok Police Station following intelligence on suspected drug trafficking activities in the area.

Detectives raided several makeshift structures within the Narok Main Quarry area, where they suspected narcotics were being stored and prepared for distribution.

The operation led to the arrest of three men identified as Joel Rimin Koisikir, Hassan Mukaria Jackson and Robert Turgut Kipkoech.

During the search, officers recovered 19 packages containing cannabis sativa with a combined weight of approximately 118.6 kilograms.

Police estimated the street value of the seized narcotics at about KSh3,358,000.

Detectives also recovered various packing materials believed to have been used in the packaging and distribution of the illicit drug.

The three suspects remain in police custody as they undergo processing ahead of their arraignment in court.

The seized cannabis and other recovered materials have been preserved as exhibits as investigations into the suspected trafficking operation continue.
