Valentine’s Day shock: Man turns to lover’s friend after learning she’s on her period

A Kenyan man has sparked mixed reactions online after disclosing his controversial plans to go on a date with his girlfriend’s best friend on Valentine’s Day.

The man, whose identity remains a mystery, shared his story through a chat with popular Instagram page Nairobi Gossip Club (NGC), leaving social media users divided ahead of the romantic holiday.

He revealed that he had already bought gifts, booked a luxurious Airbnb with a scenic city view, and was eagerly looking forward to spending a memorable night together.

However, things reportedly took a different turn after he realized that his girlfriend would be on her period during Valentine’s week.

The man admitted that he tracks his girlfriend’s menstrual cycle and, upon learning that she would be menstruating on the big day, reconsidered his plans. Instead of postponing or adjusting the celebration, he opted to reach out to her best friend.

In his message to Nairobi Gossip Club, he wrote:

“Hide my id NGC valentine is here and I’m prepared to the core ..I’ve bought gifts ,booked a nice BnB with a city view but here comes the real problem, I track my girl’s menstruation flow and she’s on her periods this week. This made me rethink because I want to have the best day of my life.I’ve contacted her bestie secretly and she has agreed. I never thought it would come to this but I don’t want any misiconvenience.”

The man further explained that he had expected to enjoy the romantic night with his girlfriend but chose her friend instead after learning about her period.
