Vybz, on Friday, September 26, 2025, sparked excitement on social media after reiterating for the umpteenth time that he is Kenyan.

Taking to his social media pages, the artist posted a video of himself lip-syncing one of PLO Lumumba’s revolutionary speeches, followed by a short caption to declare his Kenyan citizenship.
“Told you I am Kenyan. #PLOLumunba,” he captioned.
His post alone sent Kenyans into a celebration spree with countless netizens welcoming him to the country.
Quite a number of Kenyans on social media lauded him for always showing love and rooting for Kenya.
Others called on him to stage his show in the country soon, holding that they cannot wait to vibe with him and make him even more Kenyan, officially.

His response was brief yet electrifying:

Although the artist did not disclose further details about the exact date, venue, or event organisers, his announcement alone has sent ripples across social media, with fans eagerly anticipating his visit.
