Netizens impressed as Bahati and Diana’s former house help flaunts stunning village home

Netizens have been left buzzing after Bahati and Diana Marua’s former house help, Irene Nekesa, proudly showcased the impressive house she is building back in her village.

Nekesa, who worked for the celebrity couple before parting ways with the clout-driven household about a year ago, is proving that no situation is permanent.

Her latest achievement has inspired thousands across social media.

On Saturday, November 29, the former nanny shared a detailed video revealing the progress of her soon-to-be-completed rural home located in Western Kenya.

The clip, almost two minutes long and sighted by Nairobi News, shows her standing inside what appears to be the spacious living room.

The walls are already plastered, the ceiling frames installed, and the interior layout hints at an impressively sized house, complete with an ensuite bedroom on one side.

In her caption, Irene expressed deep gratitude, thanking both God and Kenyans for supporting her journey.

“By faith we continue, and we will get to the end. I just want to say thank you for all you have done for me,” she wrote.

Construction enthusiasts who viewed the video estimated that the house might be a two-bedroom home, likely costing her around Sh2 million, a clear sign that things are finally looking up for Irene.

Shortly after, she faced online criticism when she appealed to Kenyans for financial help, revealing she could no longer afford rent for her bedsitter.

In a candid YouTube tour, Irene showed her modest space furnished with only a mattress and explained that financial hardship forced her to send her son back to the village.

Many Kenyans questioned her claims of receiving a Sh100,000 monthly salary from the Bahatis, sparking heated debate at the time.

But now, with her new home taking shape, Irene seems to be rewriting her story, and Kenyans can not help but applaud the remarkable turnaround.
