Former Tahidi High actress Angel Waruinge, known to many as Miss Morgan has gone down the memory lane, narrating how she almost lost it due to depression and alcoholism.
Morgan, while speaking during a candid interview with Alex Mwakideu on his podcast disclosed that depression pushed her to alcoholism which nearly sent her to her maker.
According to Miss Morgan, she developed unhealthy coping mechanism at the height of COVID-19, but thanked God that she turned around.

She disclosed that at some point she entertained suicidal thoughts but just when she was drunk.
Morgan noted that there was no point of actualising the thoughts.
“Me I went through depression and a coping mechanism which was not right. Which was alcoholism. I thank God haikuwa ile ati I want to kill myself but I thought of those suicidal moments. There was no point, I just thought about it while I was drunk,” Miss Morgan revealed.
The thespian stated that societal expectations weighed heavily on her, pushing her into making poor life choices such as self-sabotage.
“You are famous. You are a public figure. There is this expectation that society is expecting from you, you know, you get overwhelmed,” she disclosed.

She reiterated that depression can lead someone into a dark cycle where they may demean themselves.
The actress said that between 2018 and 2021, she drank on most days but thanked God she sought help and her mother played a vital role in ensuring she is back to her normal self.
“I could count the days I did not drink,” she said.
“You have to be honest. I said I needed help, and the first person I called was my mother. I told her ‘this is not me. This is not who I am.’ At the end of the day there is that one person you can talk to,” she added.
Her revelation attracted empathy from her fans who could not help but laud her for working on herself and coming out stronger.
It should be noted that Miss Morgan is not the only cast from Tahidi High who suffered from alcoholism and depression.
Omosh and OJ have in past interviews opened up about their struggle with the aforementioned.
However, both sought help and bounced back even better.
