Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are probing a shocking murder case after police intercepted a 29-year-old man, John Kiama Wambua, carrying a suspicious backpack in Huruma.
During a routine patrol near Kelly Towers at approximately 5 a.m., officers noticed Wambua’s unusual demeanor and the weight of the bag he was clinging to, prompting them to conduct a search.
To their horror, the officers discovered mutilated human body parts inside the backpack, which Wambua claimed belonged to his 19-year-old wife, Joy Fridah Munani.

Despite the gravity of the situation, Wambua remained seemingly unfazed and led police to his residence, where further gruesome findings were made.
Under his bed, investigators discovered additional body parts along with a bloody knife and the victim’s blood-soaked clothing in a single-room home marred by the aftermath of violence.
CSI detectives processed the scene, identifying the blood-stained knife as potentially instrumental in the brutal murder.
They noted that some body parts remain unaccounted for, intensifying the efforts to piece together the crime.

As the investigation unfolds, Wambua has been prepared for arraignment on murder charges, while detectives work diligently to recover the missing body parts and ascertain the motive behind this horrific act.
The case has sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns over safety and the underlying issues leading to such extreme violence.
