Police are investigating an incident where a French female tourist was found dead in her room at a hotel in Naivasha, Nakuru County.
Police said Dominique Marie Josephe, 20, had arrived in Kenya on October 21, 2025 and checked into her room two days later.
She had been to Maasai Mara Game Reserve before she checked to the Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge for an overnight stay.
Her handlers said she was scheduled to leave for Amboseli National Park on October 24 when she was found unresponsive.
Her body was removed to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations, police said.
In Drive in area, Nairobi, a woman identified as Deborah Awinja, 45 was found dead in her house after she had complained of a toothache.
Her son told police she had complained of the toothache and retired to bed after taking painkillers but failed to wake up on October 24. He called a doctor from a nearby clinic who confirmed she had died.
Police were informed and later moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Meanwhile, police in Msambweni, Kwale County are investigating an incident where a 27-year-old man was found murdered and his body abandoned on a corridor in their family home.
The incident happened in Zigira area on October 24, 2025, police said.
The deceased was identified as Said Omar Mwakitsusi. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.
In Mutuati, Meru County, one Miris Kilaa, 80 was found dead on the roadside after a suspected murder.
Police said the body had visible injuries in the neck when it was found. The motive of the murder is yet to be known so far, police said.
