Radio Host Nzula Makosi Teaches Gen Zs How to Score Old Rich Women

It has emerged that many young people are increasingly drawn to relationships with older women, often with the hope of enjoying financial stability and a more comfortable lifestyle.

However, while the desire may be there, most young men lack the skill, confidence, and tact required to successfully woo older women.

Many end up fumbling their chances by using the wrong approach, language, or tone when attempting to initiate conversations.

It is for this reason that Radio Maisha presenter Nzula Makosi took it upon herself to offer some advice to young men on how to properly position themselves if they hope to attract older women, popularly referred to as wamama.

Taking to her Facebook page on Monday, December 22, Nzula shared a screenshot of a direct message allegedly sent by an unidentified young man who appeared to be trying to seduce an older woman.

In the message, the young man wrote:

“Mum acha yote uwe na kijana simple kama mimi.”

While it remains unclear whether the message was sent directly to Nzula or whether she was the intended target, the radio personality seized the opportunity to use the screenshot as a teaching moment for Gen Zs.

She highlighted common mistakes young men make when approaching older women and explained what to do and what to avoid  when shooting their shot.

Nzula specifically pointed out that referring to an older woman as “mum” is a major turn-off.

According to her, such language instantly kills any romantic interest and shifts the dynamic from potential lovers to a parent-child relationship.

She emphasised that young men should stop calling women they are romantically interested in “mum,” stressing that it is both disrespectful and unattractive.

“If your agenda is to get an older babe, kwanza acha kumuita mum. She’s not your mother, twi hamwe? Otherwise, how’s your holiday???” Nzula wrote.

Her post quickly sparked mixed reactions across social media.

While some users found her advice humorous and relatable, many young men flooded the comment section attempting their luck with her, clearly taking the message as an open invitation.

Others, however, strongly criticized the radio host, accusing her of promoting questionable values and misleading young men with advice they felt encouraged transactional relationships.

Despite the backlash, Nzula’s post succeeded in igniting an online conversation about modern dating dynamics, generational relationships, and the dos and don’ts of approaching older women in today’s social media-driven era.
