Shalkido’s name has similarly resurfaced.
The former Sailors Gang member died in October 2025 after sustaining critical injuries in a motorcycle crash along Thika Road.
Reports said he was rushed to Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital after being found seriously injured.
Interestingly, Obinna had interviewed Shalkido about his struggles after his music career declined.
Obinna TV Studios says the September 2025 interview focused on the musician’s financial difficulties, depression, family responsibilities and efforts to rebuild his career.
Obinna later became involved in efforts to support Shalkido’s comeback.
