Adani Group issued a firm denial om Thursday regarding the charges brought against it by U.S. authorities.
The company through an official statement called the allegations against the directors of Adani Green a subsidiary of the Adani Group “baseless” and emphasized its commitment to defending its position.
The statement referenced the U.S. Department of justice’s which noted that:
“The charges in the indictment are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.” Adani Group reiterated that it would seek “all possible legal recourse” to challenge the charges.
The U.S. case which has drawn significant attention due to Adani’s high global profile, includes accusations of financial misconduct and fraud involving multiple directors of Adani Green.
