Popular Kikuyu musician Karangu Muraya has publicly apologised to his first wife, Triza Njeri, after taking her through a string of sad happenings in unending troubles in their marriage.
The star was forced to apologise after a controversial incident where an audio clip surfaced, allegedly revealing Karangu gossiping about his wife with a woman believed to be Tata Essy.
In the leaked audio, Essy is heard gossiping with Karangu how his wife allegedly walked around with worn-out undergarments after Karangu had reportedly ditched her upcountry.

The conversation, in which Essy and her friend Esther Baumbach are said to have critiqued Triza’s circumstances, was met with criticism.
Karangu made it even worse by allegedly forwarding the conversation to his friends.
Seeing the damage he had caused in his marriage, Karangu came out publicly to plead for forgiveness from his wife.
“Today, I want to pour my heart out and speak to, Triza Mamake Muraya, the mother of my children.
Triza, I have wronged you. I have said and done things that have caused you pain. I know I have failed you, and I take full responsibility for my mistakes. I’m sorry for allowing people I assumed were your friends to discuss you.
I also hope you’ll remember the many moments I’ve genuinely loved, supported, and stood by you. I ask for your grace, not because I deserve it, but because I still deeply value our family. Please find it in your heart to remember both my wrong and my many rights.
I have gone through a lot of challenges in the recent days, I have not been mentally, emotionally and socially stable, and as a result I lost focus, I’m sorry to allow pressure, frustrations and emotions to control me. And then, in the middle of everything, my brother’s sickness came in and pushed me further down emotionally.
None of these are an excuse for how I have treated you. You are the mother of my children. You deserve respect and protection from me, not pain.
Today, I want to say this publicly – I am deeply sorry. From my heart, I am asking you, to forgive me. I want to rebuild the trust I have broken. I want to be a better father to our children, now and in the future.
To my friends, followers, my brands which I worked for and my family – I also ask for your forgiveness. Pray for me and my family. I am human, I have made mistakes, but I am determined to stand again and correct my wrongs.
Mungu anipe nguvu ya kusimama tena — this time as a better man,” he wrote.
