Ruto Hails Faith Kipyegon, Team Kenya For Silesia Diamond League Success


President William Ruto has extended heartfelt congratulations to Faith Kipyegon following her sensational victory in the women’s 3000m at the Silesia Diamond League in Poland.

Kipyegon delivered a historic performance, clocking the second-fastest time ever recorded in the event.

She also shattered the African record, set a new Diamond League record, and posted the world-leading time all in a single, breathtaking race.

“Faith, you continue to redefine greatness and inspire an entire generation,” President Ruto remarked in his message.

The President also praised Lilian Odira, who clocked a new personal best to claim second place in the women’s 800m, and Beatrice Chebet, who secured a strong second-place finish in the 1500m.

Timothy Cheruiyot was similarly commended for his spirited performance and impressive second-place finish, demonstrating determination and resilience.

Team Kenya, you have once again flown our flag high, lifted our national pride, and reaffirmed our position as a global athletics powerhouse,” the President said.
