How to delete pictures on TikTok

Below is a detailed guide on how to delete pictures on TikTok across different scenarios. TikTok does not have a picture-only posting option the way social platforms like Instagram do. Instead, you add photos when:

• You create a photo slideshow post
• You save draft videos that may include images
• You allow TikTok to access photos from your device’s gallery

Because of this structure, deleting a picture usually involves deleting the post, draft, or removing the app’s permission to access your photos.

   How to Delete Pictures That Are Already Posted as a Slideshow

If you created a slideshow post using multiple pictures and want to remove it, the only way to delete the pictures is to delete the entire post. TikTok does not allow editing or removing individual images from a published slideshow.

To delete a photo slideshow post:

1. Open the TikTok app.
2. Tap the Profile icon in the bottom-right corner.
3. Scroll to the slideshow post containing the pictures you want to remove.
4. Open the post.
5. Tap the three dots (⋯) on the right side.
6. Select Delete.
7. Confirm Delete.

Once deleted, the slideshow and all the pictures in it are permanently removed.

2. How to Delete Pictures from Drafts

If the pictures are inside a draft you have not posted yet, you can either edit the draft to remove the photos or delete the draft entirely.

To delete a draft containing pictures:

1. Open TikTok and go to your Profile.
2. Under your profile, look for the Drafts folder.
3. Tap Select in the top-right corner (if available).
4. Select the draft(s) you want to delete.

To edit the draft instead:

If your goal is to prevent TikTok from using your images in future, you can revoke its access to your device’s gallery.

On Android:

1. Open Settings.

3. Tap TikTok.
4. Select Permissions.

On iPhone:
