The Nairobi Hospital has dismissed reports circulating in certain forums alleging that its unionized doctors, represented by the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists, and Dentists Union (KMPDU), have issued a strike notice.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, the hospital categorically refuted the claims and assured the public of uninterrupted healthcare services.
The statement, signed by the Acting Chief Executive Officer, Felix Osano, clarified that no strike notice has been issued by the hospital’s doctors.
Osano emphasized that the hospital maintains open and constructive dialogue with its medical staff, ensuring a harmonious working environment.
To address public concerns, the hospital reaffirmed its commitment to uninterrupted operations, stating, “The hospital remains fully operational and continues to provide quality healthcare services to all patients without disruption. Our dedicated team of professionals is unwavering in their commitment to delivering exceptional care.”
The hospital urged the public and stakeholders to disregard any misleading information that may cause unnecessary alarm.
“The Nairobi Hospital remains focused on its mission to offer world-class healthcare to the community,” the statement concluded.
This reassurance comes amid heightened public sensitivity to healthcare disruptions, underscoring the importance of reliable service delivery at one of Kenya’s leading healthcare institutions.
