The Public Service Commission (PSC) has officially launched its Strategic Plan 2025–2029, setting out a comprehensive roadmap aimed at transforming public service delivery, strengthening accountability, and enhancing human capital development across government institutions.
The launch ceremony was held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
The event was presided over by the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes, Geoffrey Ruku, and attended by PSC Vice Chairperson Mary Kimonye, commissioners, senior government officials, and stakeholders drawn from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
Speaking during the launch, CS Ruku underscored the critical role of strategic planning in driving national development and enhancing the performance of the public sector.
He noted that the 2025–2029 plan aligns with key national and global frameworks, including Kenya’s Vision 2030, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
According to the Commission, the new strategy is designed to modernize public service operations, promote merit-based recruitment and promotion, strengthen institutional capacity, and foster a culture of integrity and results-driven performance within the public sector.
Officials said the implementation of the Strategic Plan will be closely monitored to ensure measurable outcomes that improve service delivery and restore public confidence in government institutions.
