Man’s body found house after sudden death in Illasit, Kajiado County


Police are investigating an incident where a decomposed body of a man was found in a house in Maili Tatu area, Illisat, Kajiado County.

The body had decomposed when it was discovered on Monday, police said.

Police said they had not known the cause of the death. The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.

And a man was found dead in River Nyando, Kisumu County after suspected drowning.

The deceased was identified as George Otieno, 43. He was last seen on March 28 before the body was discovered two days later, police said as they moved it to the mortuary.

In Tarasaa, Tana River County, the body of one Chura Kahindi, 50 was found floating in River Tana after a drowning incident.

He was said to have been fishing before he drowned, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary.

In Kambirwa, Muranga County, a body of a woman was found in Iribe stream after a suspected drowning incident and identified as Susan Nkatha, 43.

She was missing for hours before the body was discovered and moved to the mortuary.

Elsewhere in Kulamawe, Isiolo County police are searching for a pistol that was stolen from a car.

The pistol belonged to a licensed gun holder. He told police he left the Ceska pistol loaded with 15 bullets in his car and left for errands in Pemudo area but when he came back he found it broken. The pistol was stolen alongside his mobile phone, a Bluetooth speaker and other personal documents.

The suspects in the Sunday incident escaped soon after. Police said they are pursuing good leads into the incident to recover the weapon before it is used in other attacks.

And one worker was injured when a wall collapsed on him in Carton, Buruburu area, Nairobi.

The victim was among a group of people demolishing structures under the Nairobi Rivers Regeneration Program when he was trapped.

He was rushed to the hospital and admitted in a stable condition, police said.

Two weeks ago, two people were killed as they demolished a structure in Shauri Moyo in Nairobi as they demolished a house.

Five others were injured in the incident.
