“Bahati Bila D”: Mosiria Sparks Hilarious DNA Debate After Meeting Bahati Look-Alike in Nairobi CBD

Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has left Kenyans amused after meeting a man in Nairobi’s Central Business District who bears a striking resemblance to musician Kevin Kioko, popularly known as Bahati.

Mosiria shared the encounter on social media, jokingly referring to the man as “Bahati Low Budget” and “Bahati Bila D”, before proposing an unusual reunion between the look-alike and the celebrated singer.

According to Mosiria, the resemblance was so striking that he was willing to help bring the two together for a DNA test to establish whether they could actually be related.

“Nairobi has everything! 😂 Here is the ‘Bahati low budget’, a Bahati look-alike I met in the CBD, and I decided to give him a platform.”

Mosiria further joked that since Bahati had recently been involved in a highly publicised search for answers about his biological family, the look-alike could provide another interesting chapter to the story.

“I would like to request the original Bahati to allow me to unite these two because, honestly, they look so much alike!”

He even offered to sponsor the proposed DNA test, turning what began as a chance encounter in the CBD into an amusing online conversation.

Mosiria invokes Bahati’s recent family saga

The joke comes several months after Bahati found himself at the centre of intense public interest over his biological family.

In March 2026, DNA results ruled out a woman, Judith Makokha, who had claimed to be the singer’s biological mother.

The test followed months of public discussion after Judith’s claims gained widespread attention.

The controversy did not end there. Days after the DNA results were announced, another woman emerged claiming to be Bahati’s sister, adding another twist to the singer’s already emotional family story.

It is against this backdrop that Mosiria’s suggestion about the CBD look-alike has generated even more amusement among social media users.

Mosiria joked:

“Since Bahati wa Diana has been looking for his family, maybe we can take this a step further and do a DNA test between the two. I’m even willing to sponsor it. 😂”

He then asked whether the two men could actually be brothers.

“Maybe they are brothers, who knows? Let’s find out! 👀”

Kenyans turn the resemblance into a comedy session

The encounter quickly became fodder for social media jokes, with Kenyans weighing in on the apparent resemblance.

Some users urged Mosiria to make the proposed meeting happen, while others joked that a DNA test would be the only way to settle the matter.

Others focused less on the family angle and more on Mosiria’s description of the man as “Bahati Bila D”, with some suggesting that Nairobi had once again produced an unexpected celebrity look-alike.

The conversation also revived memories of Bahati’s recent DNA saga, which attracted widespread public attention after the singer agreed to undergo testing concerning the woman who claimed to be his mother.

Bahati had previously said the matter was deeply personal and urged people to wait for the official results.

“Whatever it takes to avoid farming”

Mosiria ended his humorous post with another observation about life in Nairobi, joking about the lengths young people go to in search of opportunities.

“Anyway whatever it takes to avoid farming ni uchungu sana!”

The comment added another layer of humour to the post, with the county official presenting the encounter as one of those unexpected moments that can only happen in Nairobi.

For now, there is no indication that Bahati has agreed to meet his look-alike or take part in the proposed DNA test.

Mosiria’s proposal appears to have been made in jest, but it has nonetheless given social media users plenty to talk about.

And with Kenyans already familiar with Bahati’s recent family-search saga, the question doing the rounds online is simple:

Is “Bahati Bila D” just a look-alike, or could Nairobi have accidentally discovered another member of the Bahati family? 👀😂
