Former Nairobi Diaries reality TV show’s casts Colonel Mustafa and Noti Flow have confirmed to the world that couples can break up but still work together.
The former lovebirds recently linked up for a collabo which has fast gone viral on mainstream and social media.
Nairobi News has learnt Mustafa and Noti on Thursday, August 14, 2025, released a new song dubbed Katika.

In the song, the two brought up an old school vibe with both singing lines from Deux Vultures’ hit song Katika released in the mid 2000s.
To promote their new project, the two have in the past two days been moving around in a media tour that has not only impressed many but also inspired them.
The music video which was uploaded on YouTube on Thursday proved to many that the two are now coexisting peaceful despite breaking up over seven years ago.
A multitude of their fans have heaped praises on them, holding that is how mature people should roll.
The latest turn of events came about seven years after their bitter split.
Following their breakup, the two called each other online and during media interviews.
Initially, it was reported the two creatives split due to infidelity.
However, Mustafa during media interviews that followed disclosed he did not dump Noti for cheating.
While appearing in an interview on Mseto East Africa, the Ayo hitmaker said he left Noti Flow because she used to batter him.

“Unajuwa ukishaanza kuwa unajiangalia tuu wewe kwa relationship haifai. Alianza kuwa mviolent alianza kuniuma, alikuwa ananichapa cause alijuwa siwezi kumrudishia, niko na maalama ya meno huku mwilini. Tuva unajuwa relationship inakuanga ngumu sana, dem akikuwa mkali hivyo mpaka anakurukia itabidi tuu umetulia,” Mustapha said.
He also claimed that Noti Flow used to be very stubborn.
“Alikuwa hasikii maneno ambayo nilikuwa namwambia. But kuhusu stoy za yeye kucheat labda naeza iongelea baada ya miaka mitano, but sikumpata kama amecheat na wala sikupata ushahidi wowote kuhusiana na hio,” he added.
It should be noted that Mustafa and Noti started dating during their stint on popular reality TV show, Nairobi Diaries.
