For a couple of years now, Kenyans have been poking their noses into the private life of popular content creator Kelvin Kinuthia, all in a bid to unearth the identity of his lover.
Despite numerous attempts by curious netizens and self-styled online detectives, the identity of the person behind Kinuthia’s joy remained a mystery for the longest time.
The YouTuber had successfully managed to keep his romantic life away from the public eye, until recently, when he finally brought forth what appears to be the love of his life.
In the Christmas spirit, Kinuthia on the evening of Wednesday, December 24, took to social media to officially introduce his lover to the world.
The move came as a surprise to many of his followers who have long speculated about his relationship status.
The content creator posted a photo of himself locked in a warm embrace with a tall, dark, and handsome man, whom he introduced as his partner.
However, in a move that left many confused and guessing, Kinuthia used an emoji to partially conceal the bearded man’s face, making it difficult for fans to clearly identify him.
In the festive photo, both Kinuthia and the mysterious man were dressed in Christmas-inspired outfits, fitting perfectly into the holiday mood.
The image radiated warmth and affection, suggesting a close and happy bond between the two.
Through the caption accompanying the post, Kinuthia wished his fans a Merry Christmas, reiterating that the festive greetings were coming from both of them.
“Merry Christmas from us,” he wrote.
The post quickly sparked mixed reactions online, with many users flocking to the comment section to share their opinions.
A section of netizens blasted Kinuthia, accusing him of embarrassing the male gender, while others expressed discomfort with the public display.
On the other hand, some fans lauded the content creator for finally getting the courage to introduce his man to the public, applauding him for living his truth and embracing love without fear.
While a number of followers returned the festive greetings and sent warm wishes, many others could not believe the photo Kinuthia shared was real.
Quite a number of online users claimed the image was AI-manipulated, alleging that he intentionally posted it to provoke netizens and stir online debate.
As of now, Nairobi News cannot independently confirm whether the photo is authentic or digitally altered.
However, judging by the image, the two subjects appeared genuinely happy together, a detail that only fueled further conversation across social media platforms.
