The workshop convened heads of crime intelligence units from EAPCCO member states, providing them with an opportunity to enhance their cooperation mechanisms and develop robust approaches to combat complex criminal networks that transcend national boundaries.

Mr. Amin also expressed appreciation to the INTERPOL Regional Bureau for East Africa and the EAPCCO Secretariat for their pivotal roles in organizing the event, which serves as a cornerstone for regional security integration.

The event was graced by distinguished guests including Mr. Africa Apollo, Head of the INTERPOL Regional Bureau for East Africa, and Ibrahim Jillo, Director of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, among others.

As Eastern Africa continues to face dynamic and evolving security threats, the workshop reaffirmed the commitment of law enforcement agencies to strengthen partnerships and leverage intelligence-led policing for a safer region.
