Nairobi County’s Chief Officer Environment, Geoffrey Mosiria has for the first time in ages received massive love and support from Kenyans after his latest declaration.
It goes without saying that Mosiria has in the recent past been facing backlash from the public for raiding businesses, churches and other establishments polluting the environment in Nairobi County.
While on his duties, the young civil servant has experienced all manner of challenges, but mostly trolls who have always condemned his way of running things.

However, the mood shifted on the evening of Friday, August 22, 2025, after the Harambee Stars versus Madagascar match hosted at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani.
Following Harambee Stars’ loss through penalties, Mosiria took to the comments section of the national teams Facebook post to warn anyone intending to host after parties to celebrate Madagascar’s win.
Wittingly, Geoffrey Mosiria warned that he will deal with anyone who will be found making noise, rather cheering Madagascar in Nairobi following their win.
He made it clear that everyone should make noise in their homes and countries and not torment others with the same in public areas.
“Kila mtu apigie kelele kwao. Nipate mtu anaimba Madagascar mahali,” Mosiria jokingly warned.

In an unexpected turn of events and in a not so true Kenyan fashion, countless netizens agreed with him.
Countless netizens who camped under his comment insisted that Kenya is going through a rough patch following Harambee Stars’ loss and should be allowed to ‘mourn’ peacefully.
Harambee Stars lost to Madagascar through penalties following a 1-1 draw in a match that was experienced by thousands of Kenyans who filled up Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani.
Madagascar scored four goals in the penalties while Harambee Stars bid the tournament farewell with three goals.
