Infotrak to Unveil New National Poll on Kenya’s Political Mood Ahead of 2027 Elections

As political activity intensifies ahead of the 2027 General Election, research firm Infotrak Research and Consulting is set to release the findings of its latest Voice of the People Poll, offering fresh insights into the country’s evolving political landscape.

The poll results will be presented at the firm’s offices located at 7 Jacaranda Avenue, off Gitanga Road in Lavington, where journalists and media houses have been invited to attend a comprehensive briefing on public opinion trends across the country.

According to Infotrak, the survey was conducted between June 22 and June 26, 2026, and involved 3,000 adult respondents drawn from all 47 counties. The study carries a margin of error of ±1.79 percent at a 95 percent confidence level, making it one of the most extensive nationwide assessments of voter sentiment conducted this year.

The poll is expected to provide a detailed snapshot of Kenya’s political mood as parties, coalitions and prospective candidates position themselves for the next electoral cycle.

Among the key areas to be covered during the presentation are presidential voting preferences, the perceived strengths and prospects of leading contenders in the 2027 presidential race, and levels of support for major political parties, coalitions and emerging political formations.

The findings will also shed light on public perceptions of the Broad-Based Government, which has remained a subject of national debate since its formation.

In addition, the survey will explore preferred presidential ticket combinations for both government and opposition camps, as well as identify potential running mates viewed by Kenyans as capable of strengthening President William Ruto’s political support in strategic regions of the country.

Infotrak said the report will further examine how public opinion has shifted compared to findings from its previous surveys, providing a clearer picture of changing political dynamics.

The study offers national, regional and demographic insights into the country’s political direction and public sentiment ahead of the 2027 General Election,” Infotrak noted in a statement ahead of the release.

The research firm emphasized that the findings represent public opinion during the period in which the survey was conducted and should not be interpreted as a prediction of the eventual election outcome.

“The analysis reflects public sentiment at the time of fieldwork and is not a prediction of the final election result,” the firm stated.

Following the presentation, journalists will have an opportunity to engage researchers during a question-and-answer session aimed at providing further context on the findings and methodology used in the study.

Media representatives attending the event are expected to receive the poll’s topline report and supporting materials for editorial and reporting purposes.

The release of the survey comes at a time when political realignments, alliance-building efforts and succession debates are increasingly shaping national discourse, with attention gradually shifting toward the 2027 polls.

Political analysts are expected to closely scrutinize the findings for indications of emerging trends, regional voting patterns and the standing of key political figures as Kenya moves closer to another highly anticipated electoral contest.
