Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has once again captured the attention of social media users after unveiling a new plaited hairstyle during his trip to the United Arab Emirates.
The youthful lawmaker shared photos of his new look on Facebook, explaining that the hairstyle was done by a young woman he happened to sit next to on a flight as he travelled to Abu Dhabi.
According to Salasya, the woman told him she was idle and asked whether she could keep herself busy by styling his hair during the journey.
The MP appeared amused by the outcome, joking that he had been transformed so much that he could not imagine returning to Kenya with the new look.
“Nimepatana na msichana wa kazi kwa ndege so i was seated next to her, she told me mhesh am so idled can i get bussy for 3 hours making your hair by the time you get to Abudhabi you will be looking mwaaa as I sleep,” Salasya narrated.
He added that the hairstyle was completed as he travelled to the UAE for what he described as a business trip.
“As i head to UAE for my business trip and looking for investors to come invest in Mumias East from talent to mboga kienyeji to technology,” he said.
However, it was his reaction to the finished hairstyle that particularly amused social media users.
Salasya joked that after waking up and seeing the result, he wondered whether he could return to Kenya looking that way.
“Sasa niliamka nikaa hivi siezi rudi Kenya kama inakaa hivi nakaa Drogba mwitu ama Sande Olise mwitu 🤣🤣🤣🤣,” he wrote.
The MP’s comparison to football stars Didier Drogba and Michael Olise added a humorous twist to the post, with Salasya seemingly embracing the unusual appearance rather than taking himself too seriously.
