Netizens Mercilessly Maul Uasin Gishu Women Rep Gladys Boss Shollei Over Her Dress Code


Politicians, just like affluent businessmen and women are expected to dress in a way that represent their positions in society and Gladys Boss Shollei is not an exception.

With that said, most Kenyans usually expect to see their elected leaders at their best whenever they step out.

However, Uasin Gishu Women Representative Gladys Boss Shollei recently gave a no show when she came out during a public event.

While appearing and addressing wananchi during a recent public event, the National Assembly Deputy Speaker turned up dressed casually in a move that sparked mixed reactions on social media.

While the politician seemed okay and perfect in her dress code, a number of people faulted her, holding she beared the look of a bandit.

The photo of Shollei at the event went viral, prompting some netizens to give her different monikers, among them a bandit and a witch.

The comments section of different photo posts by netizens were filled with mean comments, most ridiculing the politician over her choice of outfits for the event.

In the photo, Shollei was spotted rocking a brown jacket, brown boots, a simple pair of trousers, all complimented with a red head wrap.

Nairobi News understands Gladys Shollei’s photo was capture at Kaptagat where she was flagging off the Kaptagat Cycle Challenge.

“I was delighted to flag of the Kaptagat Cycle Challenge, I was joined by the Keiyo South MP Dr Kimaiyo and the Kaptagat Forest Conservation and Restoration program team led by its Chairman Hon Lagat,” Shollei captioned photos from the event on social media.
